The owner of Lucky Cap, Sándor Tóth, and László Bányai, a Hungarian farmer in Costa Rica, cultivate and process their coffee specialties on the coffee plantation located in Lourdes. László Bányai is responsible for plant cultivation, while Sándor Tóth is in charge of the harvest and processing procedures.
"Many people consume coffee as a simple habit and for them, there is the category of like and dislike - for us, it is much more, partly a means of self-expression. Due to our profession, over the past decade and a half, we have developed a true 'bean to cup' system, meaning from the bean to the cup, where the entire process from cultivation, processing, to roasting is concentrated in our hands."

"On the plantation, we practice chemical-free farming, which requires even more humility, attention, and manual labor. Drawing from the research of our team of Hungarian experts, we have developed a fermentation technology that results in our coffees regularly finishing at the forefront of international competitions. Self-expression must be accompanied by an open, honest confrontation with who consumes the coffee and how we can make it accessible to them. This realization led to the creation of our 'Kotty' and the playfully named 'Kő Bányai?' coffee."

Ground, specialty grade (specialty) roasted coffee. We thought of launching a limited edition, trendy coffee with a cool pun. We grow this coffee in Lourdes, Costa Rica together with our friend László Bányai who lives there.
Ground coffee in a beer can, with an elegant and spicy dark chocolate character, with a hint of dried plum aftertaste. For the “Kotty” blend, we used Costa Rican “honey” processed Caturra arabica and El Salvadorian “natural” arabica coffee.
