Creative, tasty treats for Easter

Even if many of us no longer observe Easter traditions in the traditional sense, most of us still enjoy festive flavors and the delicacies prepared by our grandparents.

We've brought some ideas and a little help on what producer delicacies can be placed on the Easter table, whether for breakfast or to welcome guests, so you don't have to spend hours in the kitchen but can quickly and easily assemble them from local ingredients.

Eggs are an excellent source of protein, vitamin D, and choline. Quail eggs are small in size, yet their nutritional content is very rich. They have an outstanding protein content and are also rich in vitamins (A, B1, B2, C, D3, E) and minerals (phosphorus, potassium, iron, and zinc). Pickled quail eggs are a true gastronomic delicacy, which will become a family favorite. They are excellent for brunch, and also a perfect choice for a cold platter to welcome guests.

Simple yet great delicacies can be made from ingredients that are delicious on their own, but together create a real explosion of flavors. Slice up Stelcz or Békési sausage, add boiled eggs and horseradish. You can fill Stelcz smoked loin with cream cheese or delicious körözött, then roll it up and it's ready. Decorate the platter to your liking, but keep in mind that you will need to replenish it soon. :) Since it really goes quickly, it's worth preparing two platters and covering them with cling film to keep them fresh, so if unexpected guests arrive, you can just take it out of the fridge.

Baking doesn't need to be overthought; it's worth focusing on quality ingredients. In the past, at the grandparents' house, a divine walnut honey slice awaited us at Easter, and we still talk about it to this day. Its main ingredients, besides honey, were walnuts, butter, and the good quality flour sifted by grandma. If you're short on time, you can now add divine vanilla walnut crescents from Tante Susi to your basket. Moreover, the Mester family takes care of those with food sensitivities when it comes to desserts.

Don't forget to add colorful eggs to your basket, so you don't have to wake up early and lose time. You can choose red, rainbow, or mixed packaging.

We wish you a happy, peaceful preparation!
