Zelna Olaszrizling Balaton 2023

Olaszrizling harvested from the beautifully ripe grapes of the Farkó-kő and Berekszél vineyards. After quick processing and must settling, it was fermented at a low temperature to make it even fresher and fruitier. As in previous years, it was fermented with organic yeast and harvested exclusively from our own areas, resulting in a certified organic wine.

Producer information

In Balatonfüred, wines are made from the Berekszél and Farkó-kő vineyards, and in Balatonszőlős from the Penke vineyard. The Zelna winery has been farming organically from the beginning, and its areas have been continuously converted to certified organic cultivation since 2018.

What does it mean to be organic? For example, instead of absorbable pesticides, they spray with copper, sulfur, and orange oil, and they focus on prevention and conditioning. In addition to natural remedies, this also means that they pay increased attention to soil cultivation, proper nutrient supply, and maintaining biodiversity.
