Producer information

In 1989, the PURINA brand first appeared in St. Louis, USA, which sold pet food and feed. In 1921, the PURINA Chow brand dry pet food was introduced to the American market. The successful PURINA Dog Chow and PURINA® Cat Chow products were then created. In 1985, Nestlé acquired the successful FRISKIES brand.

In 1998, the DARLING brand became the property of Nestlé, and a pet food factory was built in Bük with an investment of 6 billion forints, which has been producing dry and wet pet food ever since - the first in Hungary. The Bük factory is currently Nestlé PURINA's largest pet food factory in Europe.
