The African violet, more commonly known as the Cape violet, is a popular houseplant. Its name is doubly misleading, as it actually lives very far from the Cape of Good Hope and is not closely related to violets from a botanical point of view.

Light requirements

Protect from direct sunlight. It is best to place it in an east-facing window.

Temperature requirements

It has quite high humidity requirements, but never spray the leaves! It prefers temperatures between 18 and 22 degrees Celsius.

Storage

Store at 18-25 °C in a non-dry room.
