Bobby's Gin uses only organic ingredients, which are then vapor-distilled separately with high-quality spirit. The result is an inimitable blend of classic botanicals and Indonesian spices. Spicy, aromatic, with explosively fresh citrus and a pleasant peppery note, it presents a wonderful harmony of sweet and dry flavors. It is also available ready-mixed with Indian tonic in a long drink format. 

Producer information

Jacobus Alfons, or Bobby as his family and friends called him, was born in Indonesia and fought in the Dutch army during World War II, before moving to the Netherlands in 1950. He was very fond of the local juniper-flavored spirit, jenever, but missed the flavors of home, so he made his own gin, flavored with Indonesian botanicals. Bobby's grandson, Sebastian, discovered an old bottle of gin in his parents' house in 2012, and inspired by his grandfather's story and recipe, he traveled to Schiedam, the birthplace of gin. There he met a seventh-generation gin distiller, the master distiller of the Herman Jansen distillery, which has been in operation since 1777. After two years of experimentation, they created Bobby's Gin. 

Bobby's is thus a marriage of traditional Schiedam jenever and the finest Indonesian spices. It owes its truly unique, distinctive flavors to the following botanicals: lemongrass, cloves, coriander, cubeb pepper, cinnamon from the East, and juniper, rosehip and fennel from the West.  Bobby's Gin uses only organic ingredients, which are then vapor-distilled separately with high-quality spirit. The eye-catching Bobby's bottle is a modern reinterpretation of classic jenever bottles and jugs, made of brown and gray smoked glass and decorated with a traditional Indonesian Ikat pattern. This unique bottle also symbolizes the meeting of East and West.
