The datterino tomato is produced with an innovative and exclusive cultivation system that enhances contrasts and thus flavour. Dolcinetto® is not just the name of this tomato, but above all the name of a cultivation system, a completely new process, the "Dolcinetto®" method, developed to enhance the flavour as much as possible, and this is what makes it truly special. The Dolcinetto® datterino was born in the 2000s, and since then, a lot of variety selection has taken place, which continues to this day. Everything starts from the idea of being able to produce the sweetest possible tomato.

Municipalities of Vittoria, Acate, Santa Croce Camerina and surrounding areas; cultivated in greenhouses, in soil, but also soilless, using the exclusive "Dolcinetto®" cultivation system, which reduces the amount of water in the fruit and enhances contrasts and thus flavour by concentrating mineral salts. Intense red colour with distinct shiny reflections. Sweet but firm taste, hard pulp, thin skin, authoritative and balanced flavour, with a distinct siccagno tomato aftertaste. Suitable for dieters due to its low calorie content and the presence of carotenoids (lycopene and alpha-carotene), potassium, phosphorus, vitamin C, vitamin K, and folic acid. The red colour of the tomato is due to lycopene, which has diuretic and antioxidant properties, counteracting the effect of free radicals.
