A cut tulip is a freshly cut tulip flower, which is most often used in bouquets, floral arrangements, or for decoration.
Its long, green stem is flexible, and its leaves are lance-shaped. Its flower can be single or double, its petals are smooth, brightly coloured: red, yellow, white, pink, purple, or it can also occur in multi-coloured varieties. A special characteristic of cut tulips is that they continue to grow after being cut and bend towards the light.
It stays fresh for a long time in a cool environment, especially if placed in clean water and its stem is regularly trimmed. Due to its elegant, clean appearance, it is one of the most popular spring cut flowers.
Storage
To be stored between 18-20 °C, in a bright place.
