About the brand

Our story began in 1976 in Brighton, England. It all started with our founder, who believed in something revolutionary – that business could be a force for good. Following her vision, we’ve been campaigning for change, being bold, honest and pioneering for over 40 years. Back then, our shop was a tiny green-painted unit on a side street in Brighton. It looked and felt completely different to anything else on the high street. Yet it was simple – naturally-based products made with ethically sourced ingredients from around the world. Our products and beauty rituals were for everyone, regardless of age, gender or background, so that everyone could feel good about themselves. All without ever promising to change who they are. When The Body Shop started out, beauty was a fairly narrow idea of what a woman should look like. But we had our own idea of beauty. We believed beauty was about feeling good, comfortable and confident in your own skin. It was about loving who you are and what makes you unique. Our beauty products were more about everyday rituals of self-love, rather than promising to make you slimmer or wrinkle-free. We never wanted to create something that made women look a certain way, but rather something that made them feel like the best version of themselves.

How to use

1.  Start your skincare routine with our Vitamin C Glow Peel, which will create the perfect base for what’s to come!
