Martini Prosecco
A few steps from the village of Prosecco, the sun-drenched hillsides are home to the Glera grape vines. Grown in the ideal continental climate, this grape imparts flavours of apple, banana and thyme into every bottle of MARTINI® Prosecco. In 1895, Frederico Martinotti discovered that the grape retained its freshness better when it underwent a second fermentation in steel tanks. But before this process can begin, the grapes must be chilled, enhancing their crisp, refreshing finish.
Martini Prosecco is a dry, aromatic Italian sparkling wine made from the Glera grape, grown in the lush, sun-drenched foothills of the Veneto and Friuli regions of north-eastern Italy. The fruit, ripened in the ideal climate, gives this Prosecco its vibrant fragrance. Best served chilled, it makes a delicious accompaniment to brunches or aperitifs, and is the perfect gift.
Product Information
The aromatic Glera grape, grown in the foothills of the Veneto, is blended with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir by Martini’s winemakers to create this fresh, vibrant Prosecco. With aromas of apple and thyme, this crisp, dry sparkling wine is equally at home on everyday and celebratory occasions. It is a new expression of Prosecco, which includes the typical varietal notes of pear and green apple, combined with the fruity notes of rosé wines. It has a pleasant acidity with a slight aftertaste of peach. As with all sparkling wines, the Charmat Martinotti method is used in the production of Martini Prosecco Rosé.
Producer Information
The company was founded in 1862 by the Spanish-born Don Facundo Bacardi Masso in Santiago de Cuba. In 1877, the company won its first gold medal at the World’s Fair in Spain for its quality. They threw out the rulebook and created their own blends with a revolutionary rum-making process that would change the way rum was made forever.
Bacardi is the world’s largest privately held spirits company, producing and marketing a variety of premium spirits and mixers in more than 100 countries. Bacardi rum is the world’s best-selling rum brand.
