In 2020, the traditional Bavarian company Develey celebrated its 175th anniversary. The great success began on a small scale, with a shop on Kaufingerstraße in Munich, where Johann Conrad Develey, in 1854, ignited the initial spark for an unprecedented corporate success story by inventing sweet mustard.

They are proud of their 18 locations in 10 countries and that Develey is one of the leading and most sustainable manufacturers in the mustard and delicatessen business. Their products are exported to over 65 countries. Currently, more than 2000 employees work in the family business. In 2020, they also made great strides in sustainability: from this year, their entire mustard range is climate-neutral, and all their German locations are also climate-neutral.
