At Milka, as the name suggests, milk has been the focus from the very beginning. One thing never changes: we only use Alpine milk to produce the world's most tender chocolate. We have consciously decided to work exclusively with Alpine milk, because high-quality, tenderly produced milk makes our chocolate truly magical.
Milka represents the purity of the Alps. The milk we use comes from a 100 square kilometer Alpine region, from 800 quality farms, each of which cares for an average of 60 cows. The production of Alpine milk requires extraordinary care, which is the only way to obtain really creamy milk and fine chocolate. We have decided on this method of milk procurement because we know that only healthy and happy cows produce high-quality milk.

The breeders are important to us. In addition to the quality of the chocolate, the use of 100% Alpine milk also shows our commitment to the communities. In this way, we support our carefully selected breeders who share our values and provide us with milk of unparalleled quality. Milka has been supporting local, Alpine dairy farms for 120 years by sourcing milk from small, often family-run farms over generations. We are proud to help local farms make a living, which is why we continue to uphold this noble tradition of support.
