Lisicza Rosé dry rosé wine

Its colour resembles raspberry syrup, with purple reflections. Its aroma is a blend of intense red fruits, tutti frutti, strawberry, raspberry, its taste is characterised by strawberry yoghurt, raspberry candy floss, lively acids, long finish. It is a great match for salads, light appetisers, salmon and other fish dishes. But on hot summer evenings, well chilled, it is also a brilliant drink on its own, or as a spritzer.

Producer information

The history of the Lisicza Winery dates back to the second half of the 1800s, when the family began planting vineyards in the still existing Helesfa areas. They bought their cellar and press house in 1906, which is still the centre of their winery today. At that time, they had vineyards in Helesfa, Kővágószőlős and Cserkút, which were nationalised after the Second World War, and then the plantations were cut down. In 1998, under the leadership of Dr. István Lisicza, the replanting, the renovation of the old cellar and the creation of a modern winery began.

The plantation's rich variety of species includes classic world varieties and traditional Hungarian varieties, as well as the region's speciality, the cirfandli. This is how their current assortment was built up, in which wine lovers can taste both reductive and barrel-aged white wines, as well as barrique-aged Bordeaux varieties. As a result of numerous experiments, their aim is to find those grape varieties in this special wine region, to explore those winemaking methods that adequately showcase the possibilities and special features of their terroir.
