Varga Rosé Bubis
Péter Varga thinks of a conversation about rosé wine that he overheard years ago. His teenage sons, who were already of drinking age, were offering it to their friends. "Can we bring wine?" "No, thank you." "Rosé?" "Yes, that." Youth - folly! But good folly, because the mistake highlights the fact that rosé has brought a new quality to wines, which is more different from white and red wines than they are from each other. Its appearance is necessarily fragrant, fresh, lively, yet fundamentally different from white and red early wines. We can hardly or not at all speak of varietal character, and although it is quickly bottled after harvesting, the primary grape flavours do not remain in it, and strawberry and raspberry sensations appear that can only be produced in red wine through longer ageing. Rosé is a child of modern times, has no tradition, but has a great future ahead of it.

Serving suggestion
It fits well with the development of gastronomy, it is usually recommended with salads, soups, white meats, but if you just want to open a bottle of wine, rosé is the best choice for any menu. It is recommended to consume it chilled to 12°C.
Producer information
Péter Varga started working in the Badacsonyörs winery with his wife and parents on January 4, 1993. Today he works with his two sons and hopes that they will later continue the winery with his grandchildren. Over the past 20 years, Hungarian viticulture has been fundamentally renewed professionally and technologically, and the quality of wines has reached Western European standards. At the same time, the demands of consumers have also developed and changed a lot. Today, people drink less and less, but rather taste wines; they are looking for the interesting and the special. They no longer only drink the wines of nearby wine regions, but are in the mood to get acquainted with the wine offerings of the country, Europe and even the whole world. Therefore, it is not enough to just make beautiful, balanced wines, we need wines that leave a mark on the consumer, that they will remember and will choose again from the thousands of items on offer.
