Svijany Knize light Czech lager

It is made using the traditional bottom fermentation technology typical of Czech beers. It is hopped four times and not pasteurized. Its foam is high, but not very compact. Its colour is brownish yellow and it is transparently clear. Its flavour is hoppy and slightly bitter, with a little malty feel. It is a medium-bodied beer.

Producer information

The Svijany brand represents traditional Czech beers, which are made from the excellent quality water of their own wells, selected malt from small independent Czech and Moravian malt processing plants and their own excellent Saaz hops. Production takes place using the traditional production method, which is unfortunately disappearing today, and which was used by all Czech breweries in the second half of the 20th century. During this process, the mash is thoroughly boiled and the hops are also boiled for a long time, it is matured in open vats in the fermentation room and then fermented for a long time. The beer is not chemically treated at all, and is delivered to the market unpasteurized, i.e. in a "live" form, so the beers retain the pleasantly clean taste and aroma of the hops.
