Interesting facts
The tomato is a plant belonging to the nightshade family, native to South and Central America. Today, we can buy various special types of tomatoes all year round, including small cherry tomatoes, slightly larger cocktail tomatoes, elongated berry-shaped (mini plum, mini San Marzano) or pear-shaped tomato varieties, available in bunches or as individual berries.
Usage
They can be conveniently eaten with sandwiches or used as a garnish for dishes. Their colour can also be very varied: in addition to the most common red berry colour, we also know varieties that ripen to pink, yellow, orange, brown, and even green.
