TEEKANNE's agricultural engineers continuously monitor the value chain in the tea-growing countries, starting with the professional selection of optimal growing areas. These areas are selected taking into account factors such as climate, soil conditions, sunshine hours and the availability of clean water. Holistic cultivation concept TEEKANNE's agricultural engineers support the selected farmers in planning their cultivation areas, selecting the best cuttings and optimally processing the harvested tea leaves. Further cultivation measures and the harvest are checked on site by TEEKANNE employees. The company places great emphasis on a holistic production concept that takes into account the needs of people, nature and the environment in equal measure. Special soil analyses enable experts to make recommendations, e.g. on fertilisation. Plant protection products are only used when necessary and then only those containing active ingredients approved by the EU. The processing of the harvested leaves, including wilting, rolling, fermentation, drying and storage, takes place according to rules and processes defined by TEEKANNE. TEEKANNE carries out regular checks to ensure compliance with strict environmental and hygiene regulations.
