Vylyan Kakas Rosé
Crisp, elegant, a rosé through and through. The fresh fruitiness of red berries (early cherry, redcurrant, cornelian cherry) is reflected in the intense aroma and taste. Its freshness and vibrancy are provided by the firm, distinct acids, enticing the taster for sip after sip.
The grapes harvested from areas selected for rosé were pressed without skin maceration. Fermentation and aging took place in chilled tanks (at 16 and 20°C) to preserve the wine's natural carbon dioxide content, which provides a much finer, more pleasant acidity sensation than artificially added CO₂. The varieties were finally blended before bottling.

Producer Information
In contrast to the common cellar model in the wine region, Vylyan Vinum Winery established its estate center on Fekete-hegy (Black Hill) in Kisharsány, in the heart of their vineyards – thereby expressing their connection to the terroir and grapevines. From the outset, their goal has been to produce the most beautiful wines possible, bearing the characteristics of the Villány terroir. They have reinterpreted the knowledge of old times to meet the challenges of new times, thus applying natural, environmentally friendly solutions in the vineyard. From their 120-hectare, south- and southeast-facing vineyards, planted between 1992 and 2004 with a density of 7000 vines/hectare, they expect a moderate yield (average load 40 hl/ha) and beautiful, ripe fruit.
From harvest to harvest, they adapt their winemaking to the specific characteristics of the grapes and the vintage; they do not have a fixed recipe. They nurture the grapes like children, helping them to fully develop. The grapes arriving at harvest undergo multiple selections. Aging takes place in 225-liter barrels made of Hungarian and French oak, as well as in 15 beautiful large oak casks. Depending on the variety and vintage, red wines spend 12-18 months in barrels, then, after a minimum of 3-4 months of bottle aging, they are released from the cellar.
