The cheese's unique flavour and large holes were so special that a new name was created for it: Leerdammer. Thanks to its characteristic flavour and outstanding quality, Leerdammer remains an unsurpassed original cheese to this day. It is a perfect, large-holed, fresh semi-hard cheese that contains neither preservatives nor lactose. All three types of Leerdammer (Original, Lightlife and Delacréme) are rich in calcium.
