Tchibo Budapest Kft. was founded in 1991 as a subsidiary of Tchibo GmbH. Since 1997, following the acquisition of Eduscho, Tchibo has been one of the leading coffee companies in the roasted coffee market. The company is present in the Hungarian coffee market with three brands.

Since 2007, Tchibo has also introduced its unique and highly successful retail model in Hungary, which offers high-quality bulk coffee beans, coffee-drinking opportunities, and a colorful product range based on regularly updated themes, all within one store.

Within a given theme, it offers not only household goods but also high-quality technical products, sports equipment, fashion items, accessories, or even jewelry. Currently, it has eight stores in Hungary: five in Budapest, and one each in Pécs, Győr, and Kecskemét. Since 2012, Tchibo's thematic product range has been available nationwide.
