Producer Information

Pecznyik Béla runs his own organic farm in Békés county, near Doboz. He has been involved in the family farm's work since childhood, learning the basics of the trade from his father. Despite his young age, he has been growing vegetables for nearly twenty years, and since 2017, he has been working as an independent primary producer. Béla exclusively practices organic farming and pays special attention to maintaining natural balance. He does not use chemicals on his land; instead, he ensures soil health through green manuring, crop rotation, and natural methods. He primarily grows traditional field vegetables – such as potatoes, carrots, beetroot, and onions – but also experiments with various fruits. He is also active in processing and sales, operating his own washing and packaging plant. He performs his work with passion and great precision, personally supervising every process. Domestic, sustainable food production is important to him, and his goal is to ensure that more and more people receive reliable, clean-sourced vegetables. In 2022, he became a finalist in the young farmer category of the 'Farmer of the Year' award.
