• Nose: intense red berries – sour cherry, raspberry, cherry – mild spiciness, with discreet barrel notes (vanilla, cocoa, perhaps roasted tones) appearing behind the fruity aromas
• Taste: medium body, lively acidity, fresh fruity drive, medium tannins; characterized by a spicy finish, good balance, and restrained complexity

Producer Information - Thoughts from Vida Péter

During my high school years, our family purchased 600 square fathoms of land in Bakta, a wonderful place where, in a world representing old values, land could never be bought, only inherited. Since I studied viticulture, it was primarily my and my siblings' task to cultivate the grapes.

I decided to enter our family's Kadarka wine in the local wine competition, under my father's name, of course, doing so without anyone knowing. One Sunday morning, my father was reading the local newspaper, and it announced in large letters that Sándor Vida's Kadarka had won first place. My father was a very strict man, but then a tear glistened in his eye. He hugged me and said: "You'll see, the Lord will repay this." This parental thought once again strengthened my conviction that wine is worth pursuing.
