Marks and Spencer Medium Spiced Curry Paste with Tomato, Spices and Coriander

Tikka Paste is a medium spiced blend, made with tangy tomatoes and aromatic spices. This rich, flavourful paste is an essential base for making tikka masala, and can also be used as a spicy marinade for grilled meats.

Preparation

Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan over medium heat. Sauté the diced onion for at least 15 minutes until softened, caramelised and golden brown. Add the diced chicken to the pan, along with the contents of the paste. Sauté for approx. 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the chopped tomatoes and water, then cook for 15 minutes to allow the curry sauce to thicken. Add 3 tablespoons of cream and cook for another 5 minutes. Ensure the chicken is thoroughly cooked before serving. Why not try: as a vegetarian alternative, use pumpkin and chickpeas.
