Cooking Instructions for Aroy-D Thai Hom Mali Rice
Ingredients:
- 1 cup Aroy-D Thai Hom Mali Rice
- 1 1/2 cups water
- Pinch of salt (optional)
Instructions:
- Rinse the rice: Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear. This helps remove excess starch and prevents the rice from becoming too sticky.
- Soak the rice (optional): Soaking the rice for about 30 minutes will result in a softer texture, but this step is not necessary.
- Cook the rice:
- In a saucepan, combine the rinsed rice and water. Add a pinch of salt, if desired.
- Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat.
- Once boiling, reduce heat to low, cover the saucepan, and simmer for about 15-20 minutes, or until the water has been completely absorbed.
- Let the rice rest and fluff: Remove the saucepan from the heat and let it stand, covered, for about 5 minutes. Then, fluff the rice with a fork before serving.
