Classic Chicken Biryani Recipe:

1. Marinate 500g chicken with 3-4 tablespoons of Ashoka Biryani Paste and 150g yogurt. Allow to marinate for at least 2 hours, but preferably overnight, to allow the flavours to deeply penetrate the meat.
2. Cook 250g basmati rice until almost fully cooked. Drain and set aside.
3. Heat a dash of oil in a large pan and fry the marinated chicken until golden brown and almost fully cooked.
4. Layer the cooked rice on top of the chicken, alternating with fried onions, mint leaves and saffron (optional) for extra flavour and colour.
5. Cover the pan and allow the biryani to cook on low heat for 20-25 minutes, allowing the flavours to fully blend and the rice to cook through.
