About the brand

Our story began in 1976 in Brighton, England. It all started with our founder, who believed in something revolutionary – that business could be a force for good. Following her vision, we've been campaigning for change, being bold and honest for over 40 years. Back then, our shop was a tiny green-painted unit on a side street in Brighton. It looked and felt completely different to anything else on the high street. Yet it was simple – naturally-based products, ethically sourced from all four corners of the globe. Our products and beauty rituals were for everyone, regardless of age, gender or background, so that everyone could feel good about themselves. All without ever promising to change who they are. When The Body Shop started out, beauty was a fairly narrow idea of how women should look. But The Body Shop had its own idea of beauty. We believed beauty was about feeling good, comfortable and confident in your own skin. It was about loving who you are and what makes you unique. Our beauty products were more about everyday rituals of self-love, rather than quick fixes or promises of perfection. We never wanted to create products that made women look a certain way, but products that made them feel the best version of themselves.

How to use

1. Apply a walnut-sized amount to wet, cleansed hair.
2. Work from roots to tips, concentrating on the ends.
3. Leave for 1-2 minutes to work its magic.
4. Rinse thoroughly.
5. Team up with our Banana Hair Mask once a week.

Storage

Store at room temperature. Once opened, use within 12 months.
