A blend of Negroamaro, Primitivo and Malvasia Nera grapes grown in Alberello. After passing through the barrique, it finishes refining in the bottle. Its bouquet reveals notes of red pulp fruit, such as blackberries, raspberries and currants, as well as jam, dried plums, alcoholic cherries, sherry, spicy cocoa bean, and balsamic hints of Mediterranean scrub.

Ideal with semi-mature cheeses, cured meats and mixed boiled meats. Ideal pairing: "Wild chicory with pork and Leccine olives".

Producer information

Cantina San Donaci, one of the oldest companies in the Salento area, was founded in 1933 thanks to the entrepreneurial idea of a group of 12 farmers who founded the current company to enhance their products and the economy of their land. After overcoming initial mistrust, other farmers joined the first founding members, convinced by the facts of the validity of the initiative.

Over the years, the company has reached a considerable number of members, so much so that today it has about 300 active members, which allows the company to collect a variable quantity of grapes per vintage, between 25,000 and 30,000 quintals. Despite the unfavorable years that the wine sector has suffered, it has not hesitated for a moment to continue and complete the investments already planned for the modernization plans, both structural and technological.

Due to its continuity and strong roots in the territory, it has significantly contributed to the agricultural history of Salice Salentino and has become a prestigious point of reference for Italian viticulture.
