Pizzaliszt 00-type
Pizza flour is also called 00 flour by millers. There is a significant difference between dough made from regular fine flour (BL55 wheat fine flour) and 00 pizza flour. It is easier to work with 00 flour, which is extra finely ground and sifted several times from the best quality wheat selected with special care. The dough is more flexible and can be kneaded more loosely, because it does not stick, yet it becomes very elastic. In the homeland of pizza, Italy, the most demanding pizza chefs only make pizza dough from 00 flour.

The establishment of the modern Hungarian milling industry began with the First Pest Roller Mill Company founded by Széchenyi in 1839. Following in the footsteps of our great predecessors, our company strives to preserve the heritage of the past and adapt to the demands and challenges of the 21st century. In 1993, Első Pesti Hengermalom Rt. was established as the legal successor to the former Budapest and Pest County Grain Trade and Milling Company. Its ownership structure is complex, with the shares owned by former and current employees and agricultural enterprises.
With an annual grinding capacity of 50,000 tons, the Rt. is among the 10 largest milling companies in Hungary. In addition to grain trading, milling and feed production, its activities have expanded to include real estate utilisation through ownership rights acquired in external companies.
The company was established in its current form in 2000 and operates 4 mill plants and a grain storehouse, and also has an interest in a feed mixing and agricultural pellet production plant. Currently, the number of permanent employees is around 150. The company, with a subscribed capital of HUF 1.4 billion, provides a secure financial background for fulfilling its role in supplying flour to Budapest and its catchment area. Due to our capabilities and the demands of the times, we place particular emphasis on playing a leading role in the market for special flours.
