Cocktail recipe

• 40 ml Remedy Spiced Rum
• 10 ml lime juice
• Ginger beer

Pour the Remedy Spiced Rum and lime juice into a highball glass filled with ice, then top up with ginger beer. Garnish: lime

Remedy Rum was born in the United States during the prohibition of the 1920s. In that vibrant era, characterised by prosperity, lavish parties, -swing, charleston, boogie-woogie dance craze – despite the prohibition of alcohol.

Between 1920 and 1933, the production, transportation and sale of alcohol was banned in the United States. But the charm of forbidden things is not easy to resist, so every opportunity was taken to obtain alcoholic beverages. Among other things, illegally smuggled alcohol was sold under medical pretences in pharmacies and drugstores, which created a real black market for spirits.
