Törley Tokaji Brut

Sunshine matured in a bottle. Pale yellow colour, sparkling wine with intense effervescence. The harmony of acids and bubbles characterises this item carrying the flavours of Tokaji grapes and bottle fermentation. Ideal as an aperitif, with rich soups, spicy meat dishes.

József Törley registered his company under the name József Törley and Co. at the Budapest company court on 1 August 1882. The history of Törley sparkling wines thus goes back almost a century and a half. Open to novelties, Törley continuously developed his factory and the technology of sparkling wine production – for example, he was the first to introduce the process of disgorging (dégorgement) by freezing in Hungary. Thanks to this, his plant became the most modern sparkling wine factory in the country by the turn of the century. In the following decades, the fame and flavour of Törley were already known from America to Australia, and the factory had depots in Hamburg, Berlin and Copenhagen. The greatest recognition, however, was that Törley was already being drunk in Paris at that time.
