Gilvesy Rajnai Rizling Badacsony BIO 2022 12%

On the slopes of Szent György-hegy, in the Váradi vineyard with a south-eastern exposure, Riesling grows in 8 varietal forms on fragmented basalt. The yield of the organically cultivated young vines was selected in several steps, partly fermented spontaneously, partly with organic yeast, in a steel tank, then matured on fine lees until blending. Lively, apricot and citrus aromas typical of the variety with lots of minerals, a long structure, and vibrant acidity.

Producer information

The cellar was built around 1680 by the Lengyel family, and later it was part of the noble Esterházy estate. The renovation and transformation were completed in 2012 - just in time for the harvest. Since 2014, we have been practicing organic farming in all Gilvesy plantations.
