Ground cinnamon
Recipe idea: Danish cinnamon rolls
Ingredients
300 g milk, 2 tbsp Horváth Rozi ground cinnamon, 50 g melted butter, 425 g flour, 10 g yeast, 60 g sugar, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 egg. For the filling: 75 g melted butter, 50 g brown sugar, 2 tbsp ground cinnamon.
Preparation
- For the yeast dough, bring the milk to a boil with the ground cinnamon, leave to stand for 5 minutes, then strain. Take half a decilitre out of it and dissolve the yeast in it.
- Then thoroughly combine all the ingredients, knead for 10 minutes, then leave the dough to rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
- When it has doubled in size, roll it out on a lightly floured surface into a half-centimetre-thick rectangle, spread with the melted butter, then sprinkle with the brown sugar and the ground cinnamon.
- Roll it up, cut into four-centimetre rolls and place in a buttered tin so that they can swell during baking. Bake in an oven preheated to 200 degrees for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
