The spirit called The Botanist is Bruichladdich's own gin, which is flavoured with 22 herbs.

You can flavour The Botanist Islay Dry gin in two ways:

1. The Botanist, tonic, 3 freeze-dried raspberries, 3 green cardamoms, lime slice.
2. The Botanist, tonic, green apple slice, mint tip.

Product information

The drink is triple-distilled in a Lomond-type still from the 1950s, nicknamed "Ugly Betty". The distillation takes place over 17 hours on a very slow fire, as a result of which the aromas of the herbs used for flavouring dissolve incredibly softly in the alcohol, resulting in a gin with an exceptionally complex, floral flavour.
