About the Brand

Babú offers a unique gastronomic experience in the heart of Ghent. Conceived by the Hertog Jan team, Babú offers 'baked buns' with three different fillings: a cheeseburger-like version, a fried cod bun, and a merguez minced meat bunner. The story of Babú began as a pop-up, and then the owners of Hertog Jan refreshed their fast-casual restaurant at the end of last year. In the restaurant's open kitchen, Jef Poppe, co-creator of the bunner and former sous chef at Hertog Jan, works to ensure the highest level of comfort food. The interior of Babú has been refreshed, offering an environment furnished with plants, suitable tables, and a long bench.
