Where bread has an aroma, where you can taste the excellent grains, where the crust is crispy, and where careful baker hands, instead of machines and additives, shape the products individually with expertise and attention.

They make no compromises on ingredients. The flavours are solely due to the organic, rye, durum rye, wheat, and spelt flours from the most suitable mills, high-quality butter, and other premium ingredients. In the workshop, they use living water, shaping it into a stream with the help of stones and minerals, thereby improving the structure of the water, and thus the dough.

They give the sourdough time; the breads begin to mature the night before, so that they can receive their final form in the hands of the bakers and then baked in the stone-slab oven. The bakers work at night in their workshop so that the products arrive fresh on the shelves every dawn.

The history of Brót bakery dates back to 2010, when Albrecht and Ágnes Wirtz started their artisan bakery with the dream of combining German and Hungarian baking traditions to create high-quality breads and pastries, thereby offering a tastier, healthier alternative to local residents. The products of Brót by Villa Bagatelle bakery are available in Buda at two locations – on the lower level of Villa Bagatelle and in the MOM Park shopping centre, and some of our most successful products are now also available on Kifli.hu.
