A significant player in the chocolate bar market, Tibi chocolate has been present on the Hungarian market for more than 70 years. Sweet-lovers could first take the still well-known and popular Tibi chocolate off the shelves in 1941 – which got its name after the founder's grandson. The chocolate with a ribbed pattern, primarily intended for children, was available in 2.5 and 5 dkg packages, which was advertised with posters saying “Tibi is not just mom's favorite”. Thanks to extensive advertising activities, the brand, which became increasingly popular among adults both nationwide and abroad, soon had to change its original advertising slogan to “Tibi is not just children's favorite”. After nationalization, Tibi was one of the few products that remained in Bonbonetti Kft.'s product range to this day.

In the past 70 years, Tibi's shape and packaging have changed a lot, the selection has expanded with many new products, as a result of which it became one of the most popular chocolate brands. For example, with the chocolate bars produced in 1 year, you could cover up to 15 standard football fields, or by stacking the bars, you could build a tower reaching the top of Mount Everest.
