La Grande Épicerie Dried Chanterelles

The refined chanterelles perfectly complement poultry, meat dishes, as well as pasta. Whether wild or cultivated, the mushrooms are carefully picked, sorted, and then dried, thus preserving their aroma. After rehydration, they regain their characteristic fragrance, with which dishes can be enhanced.

Chanterelles are excellent for sauces, omelettes, pan dishes, meat, gratins, and cream soups.

It was only 100 years ago, in 1923, that the new building of the future Grande Epicerie de Paris was inaugurated. Initially, the grocery counter offered teas, cocoa powder, and chocolate, then gradually opened up to fresh produce from 1933 onwards. A real revolution at the time, this was the first time that a grocery counter had been integrated into a department store. From the outset, thematic exhibitions were presented to highlight foreign gastronomy, particularly Italian and British.
