Under the name The Hive, a citrus-honey drink was mixed mainly from Speyside malts, while the Spice King was made predominantly from Highland and Islands whiskies, resulting in a rich, full-bodied, spicy whisky, and the Peat Chimney conjures up an authentic Islay sensation (sweet smoke, salt, peat) in our glass.

In contrast to the older, age-marked pieces in the Wemyss portfolio, The Hive (meaning beehive) without age marking has been set to 46%, which allows us to enjoy more robust, fuller flavors in it. It has been blended from the malt whiskies of several different Scottish distilleries in such a way that the honey notes given by the Speyside malts are most pronounced in its taste.

Producer information

The Wemyss family's centuries-old heritage is rooted in Fife, on the east coast of Scotland. The dramatic Wemyss Castle, perched atop ancient caves carved into the sea cliffs, is the family's ancestral home and the emblem of the Wemyss Malts brand.
