Purple Dragon Fruit

Dragon fruit, purple flesh

Pitaya is larger and often tastier than prickly pear. Its flesh is white, red or purple; its seeds are smaller, less disturbing the pleasure of eating the fruit. Its peel is inedible. Its smell is neutral, its taste is refreshing and slightly sour.

Interesting fact

It is grown all over the world, but the number one exporter of the fruits ripening in autumn is China, where certain farmers do everything they can to grow the largest possible amount of the tastiest fruits.

The lands are extremely spectacular from afar, in many places the landscape is bathed in light in the province. The special agricultural procedure also attracts tourists to the area, smaller lookouts have been built at some higher points, from where you can admire the pitaya farms from dusk till the autumn harvest.

Store in a dry, cool place, between 10-12 °C.
